What to see in 3 days in Frankfurt?

Day 1 In Frankfurt

Spend this day wandering around the many sites of the neighborhood called Innenstadt. Frankfurt’s central business district, here you can start your day trip by first visiting the Romer. A city hall since 1405, the Romer remains an integral part of Frankfurt. This historic district has many sites to offer like Frankfurt Cathedral, Domturm, Römerberg, Historisches Museum Frankfurt, MMK Museum of Modern Art, and Brickegickel. If you are feeling romantic, or have a special someone along with you who you want to express your love to, you can next stop at the Frankfurt Love Lock Bridge (Eiserner Steg Bridge)

Spend the rest of your afternoon exploring the famous Städel Museum. Featuring the works of Peter Paul Rubens, this museum is one of the top attractions in Frankfurt. Later in the evening, head to Sachsenhausen for some great nightlife.

Day 2 In Frankfurt

On day 2 of your 72 hours in Frankfurt, continue touring the city by first visiting the Museum of Modern Art. The museum’s triangular shape has earned it a reputation of being called the "piece of cake." Next, walk to the Kleinmarkthalle. This indoor market hall is one of the best markets in the city and has over 150 stalls. After a bit of shopping, and grabbing something to eat, head to MyZeil – a giant shopping mall. Later in the afternoon, make your way to Hauptwache which is considered one of the most famous plazas in the city. Enjoy a leisurely stroll here before heading to Goethe House – a former residence of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, a legendary German writer.

Day 3 In Frankfurt

A short one-hour drive will take you to Heidelberg. One of the most famous attractions of the city is the Heidelberg Castle. Built in red sandstone, this hillside castle is one of the most important Renaissance structures. The Heidelberg Mountain Railway or the Heidelberger Bergbahn is another attraction that you must not miss. The city has so much more apart from the castle, you can also visit the Heidelberg Zoo, Church of the Holy Spirit Heidelberg, Studentenkarzer, and Kurpfälzisches Museum.
