1. Cupecoy Beach

Cupecoy Beach has a striking backdrop of limestone cliffs that protect it from the wind and also offers privacy amidst all the hustle and bustle. It is one of the few clothing-optional beaches in Sint Maarten. Small coves here are perfect for those who like to bare it all while on the beach. Gentle waves and striking sunsets add to the beauty of this beach. It also has basic amenities like a small beach bar along with umbrellas and lounge chair rentals. 

2. Kim Sha Beach

Kim Sha Beach is located a stone’s throw away from the popular Simpson Bay and attracts its fair share of locals as well as travelers.  It is one of the best party beaches in St Maarten as the shore is dotted with a plethora of bars and pubs that host beach parties after the sunset regularly. If you are visiting Kim Sha Beach during the day, you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing along with different water sports. 

3. Great Bay Beach

When you are looking for St Maarten beaches Dutch side, Great Bay Beach is the place to be. This bustling urban beach is located only a couple of miles away from Philipsburg. A boardwalk runs along the shore and has several restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. The eastern end is reserved for cruise ship berths whereas the remaining white sandy stretch is open to the public. And that’s why a combination of good food and plenty of activities make Great Bay Beach popular amongst visitors.  

4. Geneve Bay

Geneve Bay is a striking contrast of black sand, deep blue water, and rugged hilly area. A little hard to reach, it is one of the secluded beaches in Sint Maarten. But when you take efforts to explore Geneve Bay, you will realize it is worth all the hassle. Even though the black sand is not ideal for sunbathing, the surrounding area offers spectacular hiking trails complemented by ocean views. Keep in mind that Geneve Bay does not offer all the amenities yet. 

5. Mullet Bay

The soft white sand, palm-fringed shore, refreshingly clear water, and a plethora of amenities ensure Mullet Bay stays one of the best beaches in St Maarten for families. With the island's only 18-hole golf course, it attracts locals and travelers alike. You can enjoy different activities, be it swimming or surfing while visiting Mullet Bay. But remember that it is an urban beach and it is necessary to go here early to find a good spot on the shore. 

6. Pelican Bay

When you visit Pelican Bay, you will realize it is a small stretch of sand right in the heart of luxurious resorts and hotels. It is located on the south-west of the island, opposite Simpson Bay. Pelican Beach’s proximity to hotels means it is usually busy, catering to travelers from around the globe. 7. Little Bay
