The Chinese cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Manila and is the resting place for the Chinese who were denied burial in catholic cemeteries during the Spanish rule. It has a number of prominent landmarks like the oldest Chinese temple in Manila, the Chong Hock Tong Temple. The Martyrs hall and the memorials are beautifully maintained. The Cemetery is special because it looks like a residential suburb of sorts; with mausoleums that can put some modern houses to shame. Some are equipped with chandeliers while others that look like a cabin for the living. You can choose to hire a bicycle and take a tour of the sprawling cemetery that is truly a rare sight.

Also, visit nearby attractions which are covered in Manila itinerary 1 day.
