Landscaped by architect Josep Fontseré for the world fair and spread over 70 acres, this green lung of Barcelona sits on a military citadel built by Philip V. The remainders of the exhibition like the building of Castell dels Tres Dragons, the restaurant, the lake and waterfall are still visible.

The plant house, the umbracle and the glass house are particularly notable and the stunning sculpture of "El desconsol" (Distress) is one of the finest specimens in the park.

Don’t miss out the mammoth and the bandstand on your visit. The park is ideal for picnics, bike rides and leisurely walks.

Attractions within the park include:

  • Zoo
  • Museum of Zoology
  • Museum of Geology
