It wasn’t enough that this place hold’s such a dear place in the country’s heart – but it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Centre too – as it should be, seeing that the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution were both adopted here. National Park Rangers will lead you through the red brick Georgian Style building starting at the courtroom; the Assembly Room with George Washington’s Rising Sun Chair; and the West Wing, where the inkstand that was used to sign the Declaration still remains. Visitors tend to remark that the experience would not be nearly as impressive and immersive without the awesome guidance of the ranger’s who clearly love what they do and believe in why they do it! History simply comes alive, and if you let your imagination paly, you can almost see the benches upon benches of stern faced men drafting two of the most important documents in history.

  • I reserved three tickets for Independence Hall On Monday Nov 25th. Were do I pick up the tickets?

    • If you have reserved your tickets, then you must have received a mail or a message giving you further instructions. If not, you must be required to collect your tickets from the Independence Visitor Center. In any case, confirm once before visiting by calling on (215) 965-2305.

  • Do you have to buy a general admission ticket just to enter Independence Hall, or are the tickets just for a guided tour?

    Answer Report Abuse
    • Entrance to Independence Hall is by tour only. So, when you by a ticket, it covers both - your admission as well as a tour.

  • Is there a service that buys tickets for people for the tour at Independence Hall? My 95 year old mother-in-law is not going to be able to stand in line to buy a ticket and the online tickets are sold out.

    • Even though I have not heard of such a service, I am sure if you call the visitor's center on 1 (877) 444-6777, they will help you out with a feasible solution.
