Another tourist attraction in Khanpur, Pakistan is the Masjid Rajgan. More than 140 years old, this masjid is still standing its ground to tell its historic tale. Over the years it has gone through many sufferings, and its grandeur may have diminished, but its architecture and design, along with the art and spirituality that was observed here, make it very significant. It was built by Raja Sultan Jehandad Khan in the year 1872. Bricks and black stones were used for the construction, while wood for doors and cupboards came especially from Leepa Valley. Artists were called from Delhi, and thus, the mosque displays all the essentials of the Islamic architecture. Its significance can be understood by visiting its replicas which have been made in the surrounding countries. Enjoy.
